Apothecary Jar - Pulv. Sulph
Sulfur was widely used in the 19th century as an antiseptic, antifungal and keratolytic. Pulv means Pulverized
This jar is handpainted using underglazes on porcelain. The design is consistent with those found on 19th century apothecary jars. The terminology used is what would have been found on apothecary jars of the era.
Size: 7/8 " (22mm) tall by 1/2" (12.5mm) wide
